The tallest and longest flyover in Phnom Penh is scheduled to be completed in its first phase before the upcoming Khmer New Year, with the second phase expected to be finished before 2025.

Currently under construction, this two-level flyover will improve traffic flow on Monivong Blvd, Hun Sen Blvd, and Royal Cambodian Armed Forces Blvd, and provide a crucial link for traffic from urban areas to Techo International Airport.

The first level of the flyover features a roundabout bridge at the intersection of Hun Sen Blvd., Monivong Blvd., and Royal Cambodian Armed Forces Blvd.

The second level of the flyover, measuring 1,200 meters in length and ranging from 14 to 15.80 meters in width, will connect Monivong Blvd and Hun Sen Blvd.

The Monivong flyover in Chamkarmon and Meanchey districts was inaugurated on August 31, 2022, under the presidency of former Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen. This inauguration coincided with the opening of another flyover at the intersection of Russian Federation Boulevard and Street 2004 in Por Sen Chey district. The two flyovers are estimated to cost more than $46 million.

At that time, former Prime Minister Hun Sen stated that the construction of infrastructure and flyovers in Phnom Penh follows the strategy of 'taking palm leaves and packing palm sugar', signifying the reinvestment of capital income into the development of Phnom Penh.

Currently, Phnom Penh has seven completed flyovers, with one under construction and another in the planning stages. Upon completion, this flyover will be the eighth to become operational in Phnom Penh.
